My name is Timari Ann Blanke. Right now, my favorite medium is 3D art. I’m still getting better at making 3D pieces, but I’m excited to keep trying and explore this medium. Ever since I was young I would make things out of paper. I never considered them to be art because they weren’t very good. It wasn’t until this year that I realized, after working on other artistic skills, that I was a lot better at making things, which made it a lot more satisfying and fun, for me. I live with my mom, my dad, and my brother (Taven). We live in Fountain Valley by our old elementary school, so we go to the park a lot. We also live really close to our relatives on my mom’s side. Most summers my brother and I love being able to hang out with them, especially our cousins (Presley and Priscilla), since we all live within walking distance. I have a very good doggo named Prince, and a Beta fish, named Finch.
Originally I wanted to study at OCSA because I knew I could further my knowledge in an environment with other creative people. I also hoped it would give me more time to work on my art, because there’s a designated time for it, and the best way to improve is just to practice, a lot. Once I was at OCSA, I was surprised at how great all the teachers were, they always seemed really eager to help kids learn, whether it be in conservatory or academic classes. That environment really encouraged me to work hard, just in general.
I definitely would love to pursue a career in art in college. I would be happy with any creative job, careers I think about a lot are in animation or in a field where I can fabricate things. I also really enjoy painting and making characters in general.
