My name is QuynhAnh Vu. My favorite medium is Oil painting, specifically Alla Prima painting. I love the slow drying time, the smoothness of the paint, and vibrancy of the colors which I cannot find in any other medium. It is a lot like working digitally to me, which is my preferred method of illustration. I am a Vietnamese-American immigrant art hobbyist, born and raised in Vietnam but is now based in Orange County, California. Hope to have a cat once I move out!
I came to OCSA because my local high school did not provide the same art opportunities and community that OCSA does; I believe working with others who have similar interests as me pushes me to become a better person and artist.
Yes, I am planning to have interdisciplinary studies where I can pursue art alongside my other interests such as language and business. I hope to be a freelancer and/or an illustrator with my own ecommerce store.
