My favorite art form right now is ceramics because I find a lot of satisfaction in seeing the objects I visualize come to life on a 3-Dimensional scale. The process of having an idea, sketching it out, and then physically constructing it has felt really rewarding to me over this past semester and I hope I can continue to pursue ceramics outside of just this semester.
I live in Long Beach with my parents and two brothers. Growing up I was always super interested in art and I think the Long Beach art scene served as huge inspiration for me.
I think I’ve always had a special place in my heart for this school, I remember hearing about it in 3rd grade and thinking about how it just sounded right for me. In 8th grade, I applied for freshman year on a whim, not knowing at all what to expect in the second round and the school itself. Once I saw the campus and began meeting the staff I knew that it was an amazing place and something I knew that if I got in, I would be so lucky to be a part of.
