My name is Kristie Lee. My favorite art medium right now is mixed media, because I don't have to limit myself to just one medium. It allows me to have more freedom for experimenting with materials, instead of just confining myself to just canvas or a sheet of paper. Recently, I've been experimenting with a combination of sculpting and oil painting, and have started to integrate digital sketching and painting into my process as well. My mom and dad are from Korea, and I was born and raised in the U.S. Currently, I live in Irvine. I have a Maltipoo named Boba!
I wanted to be a student at OCSA because I had a hard time connecting with people at my old school. I knew that at OCSA, there would be people similar to me with ambitions and interests I could relate to. I also wanted to immerse myself in an environment where I could be inspired to push myself in my art, and broaden my interests in the arts. And I definitely found that here.
Yes, I am definitely pursuing art in college. I want a job related to designing a tangible product, but I'm not sure what specific major I want to study yet.
