My name is Iliza Yuanxi Devirian. Currently, my favorite art medium is drawing. Most of my drawings up until now have been black and white. I have only recently started to get comfortable with using colored pencils and markers. Now that I have learned the proper techniques, it is nice to expand my possibilities. I live in a mixed household with my parents and little brother. I enjoy celebrating Chinese holidays and learning about Asian culture from my mother, while also learning how to cook Armenian food from my father. This unique dynamic has always made my life fun and interesting. For as long as I can remember, I've loved to make art and learn about science. With these two passions in mind, I plan to pursue both as I continue my journey to happiness and success.
I came to OCSA because OCSA provides so many diverse opportunities as well as a variety of resources. I can give a long list of things that I would have missed out on if I had gone to any other school. I also appreciate that we can choose our classes so we can focus on what we enjoy and what we want to learn more about. I have also met some very talented students who dance, write, play an instrument and so much more.
I am not planning to pursue art in college, however i do plan to keep it as a hobby and continue to grow my skillset in my free time.
