My name is Christine Kim. My favorite art medium is color pencil because of how convenient it is to use and its vibrant results. I am a Korean American and the middle child of my family. I have an older sister and a younger brother. I've lived in Koreatown, Garden Grove my whole life. I have two dogs: one Pitbull named Amos and one terrier mix named 가미.
I wanted to become a student at OCSA because of my older sister and my own interest in art. My older sister enrolled as a student at OCSA two years before I had. She told me many great things about the school that caught my interest. I decided that I wanted to attend OCSA in order to further develop my own artistic abilities and potentially pursue art in college.
While art will always have a special place in my heart, I am not planning on pursuing it in college. My time at OCSA has helped me to improve my artistic abilities and creativity, but it has also allowed me to discover a new interest of mine––science. I plan on becoming a nurse practitioner or registered nurse in the future, but art will continue to remain a passion and outlet of mine.
