Vivian Kansriddle

As a kid, my family and I were always art / nature oriented, and love to go camping, to the beach, and on trips to Florida to see family. Because of this, I liked to draw nature a lot when I was younger, which translated into my art today. I primarily use oils to capture the fluidity of what I am painting, and I am influenced by the colors and movement of what I see.

In the future, I plan to go to college and get my BFA so that I can go into a career related to art. For my freshman year of college I have chosen to go to a community college so I can work on my artwork in a less demanding environment, and I would love to transfer into a college like NYU. In 5 years I would like to see myself in an art related career, and I plan to use what I have learned at OCSA to get me there.

My advice to younger OCSA students-
I would say to stick with it. It can be very hard work but it is so worth it in the end.
