Lars Milberger

My art consists of two-dimensional visual art as well as fashion design. I love to create portraits in proportionally realistic styles, but add exciting color schemes and backgrounds, as well as making non-representational abstract mixed media paintings to express what can't be put into words. I feel this is the same with my fashion work, in that some work is very abstract and out there, while others seem to just enhance what might be expected of a garment.

My future plans… will be attending Parsons Paris in the fall to study Fashion Design. I am so grateful for the journey that has brought me to where I am now, and I know it was through the encouragement of the people around me at OCSA and my wild yet dedicated aspirations that got me accepted into that school. I truly couldn't say what I will be doing, or who I will be as an artist, in 5 years, but I am thrilled to find out, and I will enjoy every experience along the way!

My advice for my younger OCSA Classmates-
In my four years at OCSA I have seen so many incredible artists who can't seem to see their own talent and get too caught up in the need to please their parents or the people around them.

My advice is that you do not need to be stressing yourself out that much, you are talented and creative and as long as you have drive and passion, you will achieve everything you want to. No matter how cliche that sounds, it's true - believe in yourself more.
