My name is Kathleen Fochtman-Gambs but students call me Ms. K. I teach Jewelry/Metal Arts to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students
I am classically trained, earning my Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. Outside of OCSA, I walk along the ocean, watching and listening to the crashing waves, while hoping to see pelicans and dolphins, and occasionally find sea glass. At home in Cypress, we nurture plants, grow herbs, fruits, vegetables. We watch and feed hummingbirds, especially the one we rescued last summer

Can you share some of your favorite class projects for the Fall 2020 semester?
Two of my favorite projects were the Magic Fish Project, where students created work inspired by a Russian folk tale, and the Jewelry Challenge--Wearable with Movement
