My name is Brooke Hunter, my students call me Ms. Hunter. I teach 10th grade Beginning Oil Painting.
I am originally from Oklahoma. I moved to California in 2016 after receiving a full scholarship to study Painting and Drawing at Laguna College of Art and Design. I received my BFA last spring. When I'm not teaching or painting I'm often gardening, attempting to improve my cooking skills or exploring this beautiful state.
Can you share some of your favorite class projects for the Fall 2020 semester?
I really enjoyed seeing how talented and capable the students were with each project we did in class. The color still life has to be my favorite however, because it is when students combine everything they have learned over the course of the semester. They used their knowledge of light, form, value, and color to complete a more challenging still life composition.
